Women in the Woods Retreats

what you need to know...

I am so happy that you have decided to join us for Women in the Woods. It is going to be a day of Deepening and Opening and Wonder. I am so grateful that you will be there to share this with us.So… Let’s get down to the details! Then, the excitement can take over, and everything else can be put aside. What to bring?

  • A journal and a pen of your choice! Or a sketch pad if that is your medium! Someplace you can express yourself freely throughout the day as you choose.

  • Bring a blanket or something to sit on that will keep you comfortable in the woods. You know yourself and your needs. This is not the day to tough it out. Pamper!

  • A water bottle and a snack. Chocolate is an awesome grounding mechanism. So I will definitely have some of that on hand! (So is coffee but it will be way past my coffee time.)

  • Please wear layers so that you have everything that you need to keep yourself at your optimal temperature. When we are doing Healing work, what I often find is that people get a little bit cooler as they begin to soften and open to what is being offered. So, an extra layer is always a good idea.

  • Comfortable footwear with good traction will make your day easier too. It is not necessary to wear serious hikers, but I leave that up to you…

  • Bug Spray and sunscreen are always helpful. I will have some natural bug spray on hand. However, if you prefer something different, please bring that along.

  • Bring a hat…It is a multipurpose item for the woods, useful in so many ways…

  • If you would prefer to sit in a camp chair as we gather around the fire, (rather than on a stone bench) feel free to bring something light and easy to carry.

  • And most of all… Bring your excitement, your curiosity, your wonder, and your willingness to explore not only the forest, but also your inner depths.

As this day approaches, you may find a few things start to bubble up, perhaps a thought, perhaps a feeling, perhaps an intention. Take note of these. Then, bring them with you. It is all part of opening to the process that awaits you.***You will also find a legal waiver by clicking the button below. Please fill this out and return it before you arrive. That way, we can simply delve into the Magic when you arrive.

This program is running by sliding scale payments in order to make it accessible to all, so please choose which payment option below works best for you. This will make Women in the Woods sustainable and will allow me to reach out to and connect with more women who are ready to gather and connect with their innate healing gifts. So I appreciate your generosity. Please click the appropriate button below to make your payment
(nb your booking is only confirmed once payment is received)

And lastly, and perhaps the most important detail of all…where is this all taking place? Our address is 42 Estey Road, Norfolk, CT.Please note that you turn onto Estey Road from Route 272 directly. Your directions may try to send you up Meekertown Road. Though this will get you into the forest a bit, it WILL NOT lead you to our home. It turns into a trail that continues on into the Great Mountain Forest. So, if Meekertown Road comes up on your directions, please go past it if you are coming from the direction of the village of Norfolk, and you will come to Estey Road on your right just before the 90 degree left turn in the road. There is a BRIGHT red house on the corner. You cannot miss it! That’s our road. If you are coming from the other direction, Torrington way, this will be on your left as you come around the sharp turn. Any questions, please feel free to text or call me: 845-978-6506.I am so excited to meet you and to share this experience with you. Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early so that we can all gather and organize and use the bathroom before we make our way into the Woods.

Sending Love and Many Blessings.
See you soon!

Testimonial

I attended Lynn's Women in the Woods workshop this summer not really knowing what to expect, and the experience was really incredible!  A small group of interesting women met at Lynn's stunning property in Norfolk where we had a short talk about spiritual matters etc.  After putting on some bug spray, we began our walk through Lynn's beautiful forest.  Going into this not knowing much about portals, I have to say, hiking has never been the same since this event!  At each portal we took a break to meditate.  Lynn taught us how to clear our chakra's internally with our thoughts, something I had never tried before and learning this new skill has been very beneficial.Lynn taught us how to slow down and observe the surroundings of nature around us, and to not only "see the forest" but to actually FEEL the forest and observe the feelings that came up at each different portal.  There was one particularly area of the forest that Lynn referred to as her "Portal of Silence".  This beautiful grassy area with ferns and really cool boulders was one of the most beautiful areas of a forest I had ever seen.  We sat there in silence for a few minutes and meditated.  It is a truly incredible & special place.Heading back down the hill toward a nice fire pit area we stopped at another portal, which was a rock.  I laid on this rock for a few minutes and felt very grounded.  Gathered around the fire we enjoyed chocolate together & journaled.  It became clear to my during our discussion that one of the women in our small group was a Shaman, or a "Shawoman" I should say 🙂  She taught me how to property sage & clear the interior of your home, and how to do a proper energy clearing of the body.  Two things that I was familiar with, but felt I didn't know enough about to confidently try on my own.We stopped at one last portal on the way back to Lynn's home.  At this portal we all stood in a circle with our eyes closed.  I had a remarkable experience at this portal as well.  While my eyes were closed, I saw the light in the shape of a cross, and heard the words, "Have no fear, I am here".  I think it's safe to say that was God speaking to me directly, it really moved me.Long story short, on my way to the event I was feeling full of stress and anxiety.  Leaving the event, I felt so ENERGIZED, RELIEVED AND EXCITED!!!  I do highly recommend this event to anyone who is interested, and am looking forward to attending another one of Lynn's events in the near future.

FAQs

Q. Do I need to be able to walk long distances to join?
A. You simply need to be able to walk on the uneven surfaces of the woods. In my book, this is more of a walk than a hike, though there will be some hills to climb and some ground to cover.
Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Please wear layers as the weather may change throughout the day. A small backpack with snacks, water, and a journal is all that is required. You may also choose to bring a towel or small blanket for sitting on the forest floor. And of course, feel free to bring your favorite stones or anything else that feels aligned with your journey.
